Seasonal Dishes and Sake Inataya Shinjuku Nishiguchi
Restaurant managed by a sake brewery established in the Edo era
You can taste local sake from the traditional Brewery in Tottori, including limited brands that don’t appear on the market. Our master of sake is attendant, too, so please enjoy the combination of our delicious dishes and Japanese sake brewed with care.
You can enjoy authentic Japanese dishes prepared by professional chefs.
We have chefs specializing in Japanese cuisine, so our sushi and tempura taste professionally good. We especially recommend our Kaiseki course dishes.
Enjoy seasonal foodstuffs to your heart’s content.
We have a rich assortment of foodstuffs (fresh fish, meat and vegetables) direct from producers, with a focus on the Sanin district (Tottori and Shimane). Please enjoy the combination of sake brewed with care, and tidbits for sake prepared by professional chefs.
Who is “Inatahime”?
“Inatahime” is the goddess in Japanese myth who was saved by “Susanoo no Mikoto” from the Eight-headed Serpent “Yamata no Orochi.” Because the two got married and even their remotest descendants prospered, the Brewery named their sake “Inatahime,” praying that the Brewery might last forever. The shrine where Inatahime is enshrined is said to answer prayers for matchmaking, a happy marriage and the well-being of one’s family.
