Do you feel like tasting traditional Japanese dishes in a foot-loose and fancy-free way?
This Japanese restaurant was proposed by Hirohisa Koyama, the owner of the Japanese restaurant “Aoyagi,” established in the Meiji era. Here, the essence of Japanese cuisine, which is not confined to sushi and tempura, can be enjoyed casually and relaxedly because of our scrupulous omotenashi (hospitality). As the shop’s name implies―Basara means “informal, foot-loose and fancy-free”―you might like to lightheartedly enjoy à-la-carte dishes full of originality, as well as traditional dishes, in a roomy, relaxing space. With “jimi kanyo" (both delicious and good for the health) and “sankai kako" (delicacies from the mountains and seas) as our themes, we carefully select and order foodstuffs which are delicious, as well as good for the health―not only from across Japan, but from abroad, too. Alcoholic drinks add color to Japanese dishes, so we have gathered Japanese sake and shochu with a focus on brands from Tokushima and Yamaguchi. We also have more than 50 kinds of wine in stock.
